The Debate League of the ORLEN Foundation is an educational project that we launched in 2022. We have prepared it with high school students from Płock and the surrounding districts in mind. As part of the Debate League of the ORLEN Foundation, young people learned the art of public speaking, argumentation and arguing in a spirit of respect for the interlocutor.
The Oxford debate method was used in the project. Students in teams representing schools take part in several rounds of debates, tackling difficult topics such as:
- energy sovereignty,
- hydrogen technologies,
- environmental Protection,
- biodiversity,
- digitization and digitization.
Their arguments are judged by the judges. The four best teams advance to the final round, competing for the ORLEN Foundation Debate League Cup. The judges also choose the best speaker. In the first edition of the Debate League of the ORLEN Foundation, the winner was the team from Licem Ogólnokształcące im. Władysław Jagiełło in Płock.
